Are you passionate about helping people find the best solutions to their problems? Our product Insight is a software-as-a-service tool that helps primary schools monitor and report on their pupil information and school performance. Since schools have various approaches to assessment and data tracking, Insight is designed to be flexible, so that it can be tailored to fit their needs and store all their data in one place: contextual information, attendance, record of statutory (and mock) assessment, test scores and other in-school assessments, provision/additional support, learning plans, parents reports, curriculum objectives, notes… Insight makes all this easily accessible to teachers and school leaders via a suite of intuitive reports.
As the first point of contact for most schools, you’ll play a critical part in representing both our product and who we are as a company. Our Inbound Sales and Onboarding Specialists handle enquiries from schools and Multi-Academy Trusts and onboard them throughout a free trial. This role covers everything from answering enquiry emails/calls and delivering online product demonstrations, to understanding each customer’s needs and setting up their free trial accounts accordingly, as well as organising and delivering online training and offering proactive onboarding support where necessary. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join our team.
This isn’t a traditional sales environment. If you’re driven by personal targets and performance-based commission, this is unlikely to be the role for you! While you’ll need to be comfortable demonstrating the value of our product to various stakeholders, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a low-pressure, supportive/consultative approach to welcoming new customers. We work as a team and co-ordinate across departments to ensure that prospective customers have a great experience right from the start. Our company-wide bonus scheme distributes 25% of profits to all staff in recognition of the work that everyone puts in to deliver a great service to schools.
We’re proud of our stats: 85% of schools who try Insight decide to become customers, and over 95% renew their subscription each year. With 5000 primary schools already onboard, and upwards of 900 schools starting trials in the last 12 months alone, this is an exciting time to join a growing company in our mission to help schools make sense of their data.
Location: Homeworking.
Hours: Full time (35 hours/week) with access to our flexitime system. Normal hours 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (1hr lunch)
Salary: £31,294 with participation in our company-wide bonus scheme, plus benefits (detailed below) and clear opportunities to develop through Junior, Mid, and Senior levels within the Inbound Sales and Onboarding team.
Holiday: 40 days/8 weeks a year (this is inclusive of public holidays should you choose to take them as holiday).
Start Date: TBC.
Probationary Period: 4 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
We’re a constantly evolving company, so day-to-day tasks may change over time, or we may ask you do to other things not listed here. Generally speaking, you’ll be working under the direction of the Inbound Sales and Onboarding Team Manager on tasks including:
- Growth: Responding to inbound sales enquiries via phone and email; providing personalised online product demos; working to understand the needs of schools and Multi-Academy Trusts.

Keeping well-written records of this information for ongoing use by the whole team is crucial to ensuring customers are efficiently supported throughout their time with us.
- Learning and development: Becoming an expert user of Insight; becoming knowledgeable about the common assessment models used by schools and the problems schools face; keeping up to date with policy changes and trends; learning the company ethos and how different Insight departments work and fit together; working with colleagues to ensure we’re always improving our processes.
